Gifts from Grandma

I have the sweetest in-laws. They are always sending us cards and fun packages for birthdays, graduations, and holidays. It makes the holidays and getting the mail much more exciting. We went to our mailbox yesterday and found some valentine packages from Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt. We should have waited till saturday to open them but that is way too long for me! So we opened them right away. Ruthie LOVED her gifts. She got a baby Einstein dvd that teaches signing! I am so excited because I took a signing class in college and loved it so it will be nice to refresh my memory. And hopefully RUthie will pick up the signs quiclyk so we can communicate better. Maybe we can avoid the tears of frustration from both of us! She also got socks and her first valenitnes day card. A lady in her ward made some cute headbands which I was excited to see in the package. I L.O.V.E headbands on babies! Justin and I also got a cute card and a cold stone creamery gift card.... yummmmmmm we already know what we want. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt and we can't forget Aunt Haley thank you too!

That smile melts my heart!

she did not let go of that movie for like ten minutes it was adorable!

Cool shades dude!

Justin bought these adorable sunglasses before she was born. He bought matching little hair thingys but shes still a little too bald for those. Its okay we don't like hair anyway! Its too much of a pain to take care of.

Yo Ma what up? Ya I got two shades don't you?

Haha don't you love the outfit? No pants, no shoes, one sock... no problem! And hey don't bother buttoning up the onesie either!

Funny Girl

Ruthie has Justin and I laughing constantly. She is our little entertainer as Justin would say. The other day we met our friends Katie and baby Addison at the library. Baby Addi sat quietly looking at the books. Well that was just too boring for Ruthie. she decided to put on a little show for Addi and pulled out the books, shelf dividers, anything she could get her hands. Addi thought it was so much fun. she would squeal with delight while I was trying to keep up with Ruthie and put the books back in the right spot. She always has to be moving. she never sits still. When she falls down and bumps her head I always try to comfort her but she just wants to get back to whatever she was doing. She thinks the world is her little jungle gym. She climbs on everything! She always has to climb OVER things instead of just going around. Like our kitchen chairs she climbs through them to look out the window. The other day she was dragging the chair until she pinned herself against the wall it was pretty funny.

Another funny thing she does is put everything in her mouth. I know all babies do this but she puts it in her mouth and keeps it in there while she crawls around. We call her our little doggie because she puts socks in her mouth and crawls around with them hanging out. It reminds me of a dog carrying his bone. She also loves sucking on shoelaces. So gross! We can't leave our shoes out anywhere.

The other day we lost Ruthie's last binky and we had never tried putting her to bed without it. So we went to walmart and the only ones they had for her age was this one with a skull and cross bones that came with another one that had rock n roll with the heart and wings. Justin I think was a little embarrassed at first but I think its so cute. So here is a picture of our Rockin baby!

And one last picture of Ruthie doing her favorite thing in the whole wide world...... playing with daddy! He is number one in her eyes. He is always playing with her and making her giggle. Its adorable. Here are my two favorite people!

It's about time..

I am terrible at this blog. Maybe my new year's resolution will be blogging more. Anyways I thought I would write about Christmas. We went to Vegas on Christmas Eve just in time to have dinner with the Leavitts and it was delicious. Then we woke up early and put Ruthie in her Santa outfit that my mom gave her. It was absolutely adorable (later on she had the biggest blowout and had to throw it in the wash right away)! Then we video taped ruthie in her new jumperoo. When we figure out how to add videos I will put that up along with a million others. Our daughter is just too cute. She is really starting to get her own little personality. I love it! Justin and I say about a thousand times a day how cute she is and how much we love her. Back to christmas... It was wonderful! We were spoiled we got so many fun things. We were looking at ruthies room and she has a TON of new toys. The funny part is I think she enjoyed the boxes the presents were in more than the present itself. But the best part was just being with family, playing games with them, and going to the magical forest. The Leavitts got a game called Imaginiff and even though I think I got last place it may be one of my favorites. Thanks Monte and Sally and Mom and Dad for a great christmas!

We bought a little christmas tree from a lot down the street to put in our apartment for Ruthie. She loved it she wanted us to hold her in front of it all day. The first time we put it up she just talked and smiled at it. Justin did the decorations all the decorations. I loved them. I thought they were cute and kiddie and perfect for Ruthie! He is the best little Daddy.. We love him!

Cousins and Candy

My sister Jodi came into town for Halloween. It was so much fun to see them. We went trick or treating with the kids around Ryan's parents house. Justin and I felt a little silly carrying around a treat basket for Ruthie because it was obvious she wouldn't be the one eating it! I forgot to grab our camera but luckily Jodi had hers so she took some pictures for us.

Ryan with Co-Bear and Justin with Ruthie

Excited trick or treaters!

At Ryan's parents house they had this truck and Justin put her in it. So cute!

Trunk or Treating

Tonight we went to our wards trunk or treat activity. We just had to show off our little pumpkin. My sister Jodi let us borrow Andi's costume for Halloween and we are so glad she did it is so cute! Thanks again Jojo!

Have you seen a cuter pumpkin?

We thought this was the best decorated trunk there.

Ruthie gave the night a big thumbs up!

Isn't that onesie cute the button is a spider.

Birthdays

Today Ruthie is 5 months old and yesterday was my mom's birthday. My parents are in town for the football game and we decided to do some celebrating. We went to this restaurant two minutes from our house called Bonsai. It was delicious!

Ruthie says bundle up and buckle up kids!

Jealous? Yes I ate every last bit.

Ruthie would rather eat her foot.

Mom and dad doing the birthday jig. Dad tried to give me the gong but I said no way! Anyone who knows my dad knows he has a little trouble with rhythm.

Hoping grandma will share.

Then because we weren't already full enough my parents came over to our house for some very yummy dessert. I forget what its called but its brownies, chocolate pudding mixed with sweetened condensed milk, whipped cream and strawberries on top! And my dad got his own whipped cream that we froze like ice cream. Poor guy I hope I never get diabetes.

Ruthie made a grab at the dessert and got whip cream all over her hands. We kept moving so we couldn't get a good picture.

Mom approves! Sorry its sideways but I am not fixing it.
