Cornbelly's and Kangaroo Zoo

We were so lucky to have my sister in town at the beginning of the week. Jodi and her two adorable kids stayed with us for 3 days! It was a blast and we think they should come stay with us at least once a month.

These first pictures are from this place called Kangaroo Zoo. It is the coolest little thing for kids. There are 10-12 huge blown up jumpy things (don't know the real name of them). Ruthie could not run fast enough to each blow up . I think it was a big hit with the kids!

Thats right Ruthie just clap when you fall. no one will notice.

Just chillin on the steps with the cousins.

We also went to this place called Thanksgiving Point. They have this fun seasonal thing they do called Cornbelly's. It has a corn maze, a princess area where you can dress up, tractor rides, and jumpy toys!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Town Center

Last post from the vegas trip! I bet you are all excited to hear that. Here are pictures from the park at town center and yogurtland. Couldn't go to town center without gettting some delicious frozen yogurt! After we played and wore Ruthie out, I met up with my mother and sister-in-laws. We went for some yummy pizza at CPK and watched the movie The invention of Lying. It was such fun week. Thank you everyone for a wonderful time!!

Town Square Theaters starring COLSTON!!!

Ruthie telling stories again...
She would not get too close to the water. It was so funnny. This was about as close as she got, but she did enjoy watching her cousins!
Awww sweet cousins!

Leed Discovery Museum

The Leed Discovery Museum has been around forever. We would go on fieldtrips there in grade school. They have so many fun things to do. I remember liking the shopping area and the bubble thing as a little girl.

Caleb was the cashier while Colston loaded on the groceries... mostly ice cream and grapes!

The bubble area...

The Airplane.. I didn't get the cool conveyer belt where you put your luggage on. But i did get a picture of the pilot and co pilot which is even better!

Gilcrease Farm

Who knew you could grow things in the Vegas heat? Gilcrease Farm has apple trees, pumpkin patches, tomatoes, corn, and some other vegetables that I didn't know. Plus it has fresh sqeezed apple cider. YUM! and it is a super fun place to take pictures, if you can get the kids to stay still.

Springs Preserve

It is hard to believe, but Vegas once was a marshland with springs. Springs Preserve built a historical attraction where these springs use to be. There are lots of fun things to do here. They have a movie you can watch that teaches you about the origin of Las Vegas. A place where you can dig up little fossils (not real of course) and place it on this scanner that tells you what it is. You can also learn about recycling and saving power. There are playgrouds with trains. And for you outdoorsie people there are trails you can hike on. It is a really fun place for kids. I think this picture shows what Roo thought about it.

While Daddy was away

While Justin was away in London and Spain, Ruthie and I went to Vegas to be with family. I love my family. They always have fun activities planned for us. It is always a party! The first night we tried our hands at a fun witch hat craft.

My sister's mother-in-law gave her this hat. We thought it was so cute we decided to make our own.
Here is our finished product. I can't really take any credit. I just cut the ribbon, but luckily I have very talented sisters who could do the rest.
The next night Grandma gave all the grandkids their Halloween jammies.

Then my sister played some fun Halloween music for the kids to dance to. Ruthie danced the whole time. It was adorable. I can't wait to put her in dance classes.

I will break up the rest of the week into separate posts. There were way too many pictures. So stay tuned for more!
