My friend has this awesome blog called Favorites and Things. The other day she posted about doing more activities with her daughter that is Ruthie's age. One thing that she did was made playdough. I thought that sounded so fun that we just had to do it. It has been soo long since I have played with playdough. Ruthie liked playing with the cookie cutters more than the playdough. She thought it was funny to stack them on her head and wear them as bracelets. If you want the recipe to making the playdough, you can click on her blog from my list.
Ruthie's Uncle Chris and Aunt Ashlie got her this cute hat for Christmas and I promised I would take pictures so here they are! It was really hard to get one of her face, because she refuses to look at the camera. But I think she looks rather adorable in it.
At Thanksgiving, Justin's aunt made this awesome 7 layer bean dip. I crave it everyday now. I forgot to get the recipe from her, so I decided to look it up and found this on grouprecipes.com . It's amazing and I had to share it. ENJOY!
2 cans jalapeno-flavored bean dip ( we have made it with a can of jalepeno flavored refried beans and it was just as good)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
1 package Shilling taco seasoning mix
3 or 4 finely diced plum tomatoes ( justin's aunt used grape tomatoes)
2 cups sliced black olives
1 or 2 bunches sliced green onions
2 pounds shredded cheese (suggestion: mix jack and Cheddar together)
1 bunch cilantro, chopped.
Mix together sour cream, taco seasoning mix and mayonnaise. Set aside.
Mash and mix avocados with lemon juice ( to taste- approximately juice of one lemon), salt and pepper.
In a 13x9 glass casserole dish, layer as follows: bean dip, avocado mixture, sour cream mixture, tomatoes, onions, olives
and grated cheese.
Garnish with cilantro and serve with tortilla chips.
I know I have been terrible about blogging. It's kind of a love hate thing I have with blogging. I hate writing and reading all of your blogs get me depressed. You are all such great writers and I love reading your blogs. Then I look at mine and feel a little embarrassed about how boring mine is. So this blog will be lots of pictures with some captions of what we have been up to...

Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment. 13. Don't over do. Keep your limits. 14. Don't take yourself so seriously.. .no one else does. 15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip. 16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. ( something i have been trying to do my whole life. i am always wishing i was skinnier, prettier, smarter but no more! hopefully..) 18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness. 19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others. 20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present. 21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you. ( i have been playing the blame game a lot lately) 22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class, but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime. 23. Smile and laugh more. 24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...
Society: 25. Call your family often. 26. Each day give something good to others. (i really want to volunteer more as a family.. any ideas?) 27. Forgive everyone for everything. 28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6. 29. Try to make at least three people smile each day. 30. What other people think of you is none of your business. 31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life: 32. Do the right thing! Trust God for everything.... 33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful. 34. GOD heals everything. In HIS own time.... 35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. 36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. 37. The best is yet to come. Wait and See... 38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it. You have work to do.... 39. Your innermost is always happy. So, be happy.
