It's about time..

I am terrible at this blog. Maybe my new year's resolution will be blogging more. Anyways I thought I would write about Christmas. We went to Vegas on Christmas Eve just in time to have dinner with the Leavitts and it was delicious. Then we woke up early and put Ruthie in her Santa outfit that my mom gave her. It was absolutely adorable (later on she had the biggest blowout and had to throw it in the wash right away)! Then we video taped ruthie in her new jumperoo. When we figure out how to add videos I will put that up along with a million others. Our daughter is just too cute. She is really starting to get her own little personality. I love it! Justin and I say about a thousand times a day how cute she is and how much we love her. Back to christmas... It was wonderful! We were spoiled we got so many fun things. We were looking at ruthies room and she has a TON of new toys. The funny part is I think she enjoyed the boxes the presents were in more than the present itself. But the best part was just being with family, playing games with them, and going to the magical forest. The Leavitts got a game called Imaginiff and even though I think I got last place it may be one of my favorites. Thanks Monte and Sally and Mom and Dad for a great christmas!

We bought a little christmas tree from a lot down the street to put in our apartment for Ruthie. She loved it she wanted us to hold her in front of it all day. The first time we put it up she just talked and smiled at it. Justin did the decorations all the decorations. I loved them. I thought they were cute and kiddie and perfect for Ruthie! He is the best little Daddy.. We love him!

Cousins and Candy

My sister Jodi came into town for Halloween. It was so much fun to see them. We went trick or treating with the kids around Ryan's parents house. Justin and I felt a little silly carrying around a treat basket for Ruthie because it was obvious she wouldn't be the one eating it! I forgot to grab our camera but luckily Jodi had hers so she took some pictures for us.

Ryan with Co-Bear and Justin with Ruthie

Excited trick or treaters!

At Ryan's parents house they had this truck and Justin put her in it. So cute!

Trunk or Treating

Tonight we went to our wards trunk or treat activity. We just had to show off our little pumpkin. My sister Jodi let us borrow Andi's costume for Halloween and we are so glad she did it is so cute! Thanks again Jojo!

Have you seen a cuter pumpkin?

We thought this was the best decorated trunk there.

Ruthie gave the night a big thumbs up!

Isn't that onesie cute the button is a spider.

Today Ruthie is 5 months old and yesterday was my mom's birthday. My parents are in town for the football game and we decided to do some celebrating. We went to this restaurant two minutes from our house called Bonsai. It was delicious!

Ruthie says bundle up and buckle up kids!

Jealous? Yes I ate every last bit.

Ruthie would rather eat her foot.

Mom and dad doing the birthday jig. Dad tried to give me the gong but I said no way! Anyone who knows my dad knows he has a little trouble with rhythm.

Hoping grandma will share.

Then because we weren't already full enough my parents came over to our house for some very yummy dessert. I forget what its called but its brownies, chocolate pudding mixed with sweetened condensed milk, whipped cream and strawberries on top! And my dad got his own whipped cream that we froze like ice cream. Poor guy I hope I never get diabetes.

Ruthie made a grab at the dessert and got whip cream all over her hands. We kept moving so we couldn't get a good picture.

Mom approves! Sorry its sideways but I am not fixing it.

Last Saturday we were able to use my parent's tickets to go to the BYU game. It was Ruthie's first big college football game. We didn't have a byu shirt for her but made sure she wore blue and white. I was a little nervous to take her. She was actually really good. In fact she fell asleep a couple of minutes into the game even with all the noise around!

Daddy and Ruthie cheering the cougars on

Too much excitement for this little one

Today we went to a park in Sugarhouse. We decided we needed to spend some time outside while this gorgeous weather lasts! It was a really pretty park. It had lots of flowers and a pond with duckies.
Ruthie so excited to be outside. She looks like her cousin Andi when she sees a cat.

I love how Ruthie is grabbing my face.

Looking at the duckies.

Justin works really close to where we live so he is able to come home for lunches. He made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and let Ruthie play with the jar of jelly. It was so funny she was checking it out and then shoved it in her mouth.

I have never seen one of these. What is it daddy?

Yum Yum I like it!

Take me out to the ball game

One of Justin's good friends from high school, Sean Doney, asked Justin to be on his softball team a few weeks ago. We weren't able to go to the first two because one landed on my birthday and the other one we just spaced it. Tonight we were finally able to make it and we were so excited. Justin loves sports and I love bragging about him. He is especially good at baseball. At first the game was not looking good the other team was up to bat and scored 9 runs in the first inning. We only scored 2 and were for some reason not able to catch balls. By the last inning we were only down by three and the bases were loaded with Justin up to bat. He saw the ball coming towards him and hit that ball out of the field! He won the game. It was a walk off grand slam! His two biggest fans were going wild in the stands. Ruthie was so excited she had tears running down her face.
